Why 3DWorkPlace?
Companies today have intranets or portals that are primarily used to manage fact sheets, documents or connect to internal transactional applications. Internal users typically engage in activities besides using transactional systems such as ERPs or CRMs. These additional tasks require collaborative effort within and external to the business to complete. These include exchanging emails with partners, co-ordination of joint ventures, project monitoring and managing approval cycles around documents or processes.
Besides the above, users typically want to use internal applications in a social context; these include communities around their hobbies, social bookmaking, managing Movies, SMS messages, Photos, WIKIs and Blogs. Quite often, these two distinct uses have been seen as mutually exclusive.
The framework we've implemented is a generic add-on on top of multiple collaboration platforms. It can also be used in an on demand model as a one stop intranet, extranet or business relationship framework by enterprises or small to medium size businesses. All you need to get started is a browser and your email client!

Organisations can enhance group intelligence by adopting social networking approaches Informal and social interactions within the context of any business are intrinsic parts of day-to-day activities in organisations. End users rarely work exclusively on automated processes within CRMs and ERPs. Exceptions to the process such as email, brainstorm, phone calls and conversations are essential part of a business process.

What do we do?
As our name suggest, we aim to let informal and formal ways of working deliver real value to the workplace. We aim to work with our customers to understand the culture of their organisation. We believe technology in the workplace needs to have a social context of use. End users typically work on exceptions to a process rather than the process itself. Therefore, e-workPlace applications need to fit this style of working. We aim to implement highly personalised and dynamic web platforms that enable our clients and their external partners to enhance organisational intelligence and provide a 360° view of external relationships across business units.
We aim to implements applications with a strong emphasis on user participation and implicit knowledge sharing to increase user adoption and reduce "usability deficit". Our main aim is to deliver next generation e-WorkPlace applications that remove the "limits of scale" of organisational memory.
